“Glory To God In The Highest” is relatively new to the gospel scene, as it was written in 2001 by the gospel songwriting team of Bill and Gloria Gaither. The Gaithers have spent over 60 years working in gospel music. Bill plays the piano and writes the music while his wife, Gloria, often writes the words. Together they are credited for writing over 700 songs. The Three Generation Quartet always enjoys sharing this upbeat southern Gospel song. Our entire team agrees that even though the angels did declare the words, “Glory to God in highest”, at the birth of Jesus, the song is not just a seasonal song. It is a very special song of worship and praise to God, and fitting for any time of the year!
