Can we even begin to imagine what Jesus’ thoughts might have been as He was hanging on the cross? What a tremendous price He paid as He willingly gave Himself to be the sacrifice for His people’s sins.
Many wonderful hymns express our heartfelt gratitude to the Lord, but this powerful ballad describes the crucifixion from Jesus’ point of view. It tells of His commitment to His purpose, and through faith in God’s power, the assurance that He would rise again in triumph over sin and death.
Originally written in 1977 by Dallas Holm, “Rise Again” became very popular, receiving a Dove Award for Song of the Year in 1978. We at Inspire4 are thankful for the opportunity to share our own version of this song.
