The number 666 is often taught to be the mark of the beast. If that is true, then what is the number of the beast? The Bible states outright that the beast has a mark, AND a name, AND a number… and the NUMBER (NOT the mark) of the beast is 666.
Revelation 13:17-18 (KJV)
13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number [is] Six hundred threescore [and] six.
So what is the mark of the beast? Revelation 14 makes it very clear that if any man receives the “mark” of the beast in their forehead or in their hand, they will suffer the wrath of God! No Christian wants to have to suffer such a terrible punishment!
As is explained in this introductory study, the symbolism portrayed by the forehead, the hand, the mark, and the beast all tie together, and are proven from a variety of Scriptures throughout the Bible. These symbols paint a picture that ask a simple question: Are you sure you do not have the “mark of the beast”?

I am shocked at how much wrong teaching is being taught on Revelation. Thank you for this series. Are there only three parts? Also, I praise God that this is not a salvation issue, but, oh the wrong teaching and misinterpretation of this book.I have had so much to unlearn. Praise God for His mercy.
