The Highest of Highs experienced the lowest of lows, all to give His children the most precious gift ever.
Jesus’ death was more than just a man dying on a cross…. It was an unfathomable sacrifice, so full of humility and immense love, that it can only raise the question “Who am I?”.
While words fail to fully express the gratitude and awe our hearts have for this magnificent gift, the lyrics of this song attempt to proclaim just how big this gift of salvation really is, and how we can, in return, love our Savior.
“Who Am I?” was written by Rusty Goodman in 1965 and was first recorded by the Inspirations Quartet. It was later covered by many famous artists, such as Skeeter Davis, Elvis Presley, and the Gatlin Brothers.
We hope the Inspire4 team’s rendition of this powerful, soul-searching song conveys the deep appreciation in our hearts for our Lord’s tremendous sacrifice.
