This is a song written by Eldridge Fox, and it first tells about when Mary came to the tomb of Jesus and saw that the stone covering the tomb was rolled back, and inside the body of Jesus was not found. The Angel that appeared told them to fear not, and that Jesus had risen to sit at the Father’s side.
Later in the song it says: “Don’t wait until his bride has been completed.”
This presents a thought that many people may not consider, the thought of being too late to be a part of the Bride of Christ. Some people may not really have a good idea of what the Bride of Christ really is. There are many helpful clues to understanding this, contained on this website within the Bible studies we are publishing.
We are happy to have our children singing these songs that address subjects we can teach them more about. We encourage helping them understand the words they sing, making it more of a genuine expression while they are singing the hymns. We hope you can gain some encouragement from these songs. If you want to know more about the meanings of the songs, or other Bible subjects, there is a lot of information available in the Bible study section of this site.
