Our inspirational singers present the southern gospel style song, “Had It Not Been”. The song was written by Rusty Goodman, and since its first release in 1967 has been recorded by many artists, including a popular cover of the song in 1991 by the Gaither Vocal Band (the year after Rusty’s death in 1990), and another widely popular version released by Ernie Haase & Signature Sound in 2003.
Rusty Goodman was well known as a singer/songwriter in the southern gospel music industry. His gospel songs were covered by many top artists in both the gospel and secular fields, including The Imperials and Elvis Presley. “Who Am I” and “Home” are other classics written by Rusty Goodman that we also sing.
