When we consider the thought of “SHADOWS” in Bible symbolism, we find ourselves in Paul’s writings, such as in the book of Hebrews (Hebrews 8:5 and Hebrews 10:1) and the book of Colossians:

Colossians 2:17 (KJV)
2:17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body [is] of Christ.

As everyone knows, for a shadow to be cast, there has to be a light source, and a “BODY”, or a reality, some real substance that casts the shadow onto a canvas, such as the ground.

Paul tells us right in this verse that the REALITY, or the real “body”, that casts the shadow is CHRIST. We can also easily find out what the “shadows” are that he is talking about. Yet… multitudes of people in the religious world today STILL focus on and seek after “shadows” rather than the reality. Why is that?
