Enduring Evergreen
I spy with my little eye, something green. But… how could that be? It’s wintertime, when most of the scenery looks barren, and well, kind of lifeless. The mystery object is tall and growing straight up towards the sun, covered with sharp green leaves. Ahh, a beautiful fragrance wafts through the fresh, crisp air. Have you guessed it yet? Yep, it’s an evergreen tree!
So, what makes these trees so special? Evergreens are living examples of exceptional resilience, staying firmly rooted and flexible through many types of hardships. In fact, many of the oldest trees in the world today are a part of this special “family” of trees and have lived for thousands of years!
