Something In The Way – Don’t Be Cruel – 24K Gold Music Shows
24K Gold Music Shows has always featured a variety of Elvis Presley songs, and in this video we feature two of his classics.
The first song is “Something In The Way” which was written by George Harrison, and released in 1969 by the Beatles. The song topped Billboards Top 100 in the U.S.A. and gained popularity in several other countries as well.
Elvis Presley introduced his version of the song in 1970, then again in his 1973 TV Special “Aloha From Hawaii” from which came a bestselling album.
Our 24K Gold Music team performs the song here with feeling and a lot of heart, evoking nostalgia of the 60’s and 70’s era.
The second song featured in this video is the Elvis Presley hit “Don’t Be Cruel” written by Otis Blackwell in 1956, then recorded and released by Elvis Presley the same year along with the song “Hound Dog”.
“Don’t Be Cruel” climbed the charts and stayed at the top for quite a while, and by the end of 1956 over four million copies had been sold.
In Presley’s later concerts he would toss or hand out scarves to his audience members, which became a highlight for many of his fans. During this song we are bringing back a little more of those memories by tossing some teddy bears wearing our special 24K Gold Music Show embroidered scarves to the audience. We always enjoyed seeing the smiles as these little gifts were caught by our audience members, and we hope you enjoy it in this presentation!
