This Is Dedicated – Then He Kissed Me – 24K Gold Music Shows
Songs in the 1950’s and 60’s era were a lot different than those in this modern day. Many were light-hearted, and some were just totally goofy, but they were fun! Kids danced to the likes of “The Purple People Eater”, “The Monster Mash”, “Wooly Bully”, “Kookie Kookie, Lend Me Your Comb”, and even “Love Potion Number Nine”. Romance in the 50’s and 60’s was different also; most young folks actually anticipated a marriage that would last. Therefore, the feelings of romance were often very innocent in comparison to this day and age.
This 24K Gold Music Show video clip is from the set we fondly called, “The Romance Set”. “Dedicated To The One I Love” is a very popular oldies song that has certainly stood the test of time. It was originally released in 1957 but it was the Shirelles in 1963 that made this classic favorite a successful hit. In 1967 the Mama’s and the Papa’s had a successful cover version that reached number two on the charts. This beloved classic favorite has been included in motion pictures, television shows and commercials and has been covered by many famous artists through the years.
The Shirelles’, “Then He Kissed Me” is another oldies favorite. It was released in 1963. Included in the “Romance set”, “Then He Kissed Me” tells the story of romance between the young guy who “looked kind of nice” and the girl that was to be his bride.
24K Gold Music Show’s entire team hopes that you enjoy this live video presentation of our “Romance Set”.
