Home (Gospel) – I Believe In A Hill Called Mount Calvary – 24K Gold Music Shows
There are many songs titled “Home” but this one is a country gospel song written by Charles F. Goodman known as Rusty Goodman (September 2, 1933 – November 11, 1990). Doyle Armstrong, his son Denny, grandsons – David (bass) and Matthew (high tenor) make up the Three Generation Quartet in the 24K Gold Music team and present a heartfelt version of this song “Home” the place I’ve been dreaming of so long.
Rusty Goodmans songs have been covered by many of the top artists in the music industry including Elvis Presley, The Imperials, J. D. Sumner & The Stamps Quartet, The Speers, The Happy Goodman Family, Michael English and Gaither Vocal Band. Goodman launched his solo career in 1975 recording his first solo album.
Rusty Goodman performed with The Plainsmen Quartet but he is better known for his family group, The Happy Goodman Family. He sang along with his brothers Howard, Sam, Bobby and his sister-in-law Vestal Goodman. His daughter, Tanya Goodman Sykes, was also a singer/songwriter and former member of The Goodmans and Heirloom.
The song that follows “Home” on 24K Gold Music’s video clip is “A Hill Called Mount Calvary” written by Gloria Gaither, her husband Bill Gaither and Doug Oldham the writing of which was inspired by Corrie Ten Boom’s testimony.
24K Gold Music’s Three Generation Quartet does a very inspiring version of the song “A Hill Called Mount Calvary”, featuring our lead singer, Doyle, his son Denny and Denny’s two sons, David and Matthew.
