Hello Mary Lou – Great Balls of Fire – 24K Gold Music Shows
24K Gold Music Shows performs two big hits from the 50’s and 60’s.
“Hello Mary Lou” was written by singer songwriter Gene Pitney. It was first recorded by Johnny Duncan in 1960, but it was Ricky Nelson who had the most successful release later, in 1961. “Hello Mary Lou” was the B side to Ricky’s number one hit, “Travelin Man”. For a B side release, it was highly successful, as it made it all the way to number nine on the charts.
Also included on this video clip is the widely popular 1957 rock and roll hit, “Great Balls of Fire” sung by the great Jerry Lee Lewis, aka “The Killer”. The song was so popular it sold one million copies in the first ten days of its release in the U.S. “Great Balls of Fire” has the distinct honor of being included in the list of the world’s best-selling singles of all time.
24K Gold Music Show performed different songs in each show. It was always the goal to present a wide variety of hit songs from the 1950 and 1960 era. “Great Balls of Fire” was included in the show line-up because it was a fun number that our team enjoyed doing and our fans loved it!
We hope that you enjoy this video clip of these two oldies favorites.
